Pros

The company has a strong lead in terms of a full suite of solutions for marketers. Marketers know things are changing and they need to change with it, and NI has a solution that will help them do that.

Cons

It takes time to change behavior in an industry.

Pros

We're developing something innovative and cutting edge for the market, which is really exciting to be a part of. There are many really smart people who like to work hard. Youthful culture without many 'rules.'

Cons

Some issues with Leadership in terms of strategic direction and honesty, but getting better. Work load really ebbs and flows. The future of the company will be dictated by the next few months.

Pros

Great pseudo startup culture. Fun people to work with. Free snacks and drinks. Abundant collaboration between teams. Mostly true agile development practices. Use of flexible development tools and processes. Plenty of opportunities to work with and learn from very intelligent software engineers and research and development experts.

Cons

No sick days, must use PTO if you're ill, though the amount of PTO starts out higher than most places. Expected to occasionally work overtime, especially around the release cycle of development. No human resource department. Teams (especially development) are spread out between two offices (Madison and Chicago).
