Pros

Very supportive and nice co-workers who are always there to answer questions and help. The vacation time you get is generous and there is plenty of room for advancement.

Cons

The salary for this particular position is approximately 15-20% below the industry norm. The low salary is my primary criticism of NB, otherwise it is a wonderful place to work with many bright people.

At this point in time, all bets are off as it's still up in the air as to who will purchase NB after the Lehman debacle. At this point, honestly the only good reason to work here is that when whoever finally purchases NB finally does, there will be a lot of work building not only applications but infrastructure as they will be losing that from the Lehman side.

Cons

Limited advancement paths as a manager since all of the senior spots have remained the same from prior to the Lehman purchase of NB to the current situation.
