Pros

Having read through all the reviews, negative ones included, I can honestly say that I have seen it all in my 12 years at CMS mechanical. No company is all sunshine and rainbows. CMS is no exception. There are ups and downs. These things are true: -The Owner, Bob Bull, truly cares. He has built the company from the ground up with a focus on the customer and the technicians. -The regional VPs and Ops managers work just as hard as the techs in the field at adhering to the company standards and always strive to make CMS a great place to work while remaining the industry leader -Every office employee has training. I've been there, seen it, done it. One thing is certain. every position has a handbook with clearly defined task lists, procedures, and expectations. There are no surprises. -The opportunity to advance is always present. -The best place to earn more money. -The company is structured for technicians that have more than 5 years experience in the field. You have to be self motivated and self sustaining. If you are lacking in certain areas and you are honest with management they WILL provide training. -Year round work. CMS goes above and beyond to get the technicians winter work. The work is there. The technician has to take advantage of the hours and take the initiative to provide the best service for the customers. -the most honest company when it comes to doing what's right for the customer BAR NONE! You will never feel pressure to do work that's not requiered or not beneficial to the customer. -Management is always open to criticism with one caveat. Provide solutions or suggestions for whichever complaint.

Cons

Every year they have a planning meeting in Florida where the management from around the country gather to look back at the year and plot the path for the next year. Every year the complaints are looked at and changes are made to address those complaints. The company is not perfect yest strives to get better every year. There is a high turnover rate for technicians. Without exception every tech that has quit in my area has asked for their job back within a year. The main statement has always been that they didn't know how good they had it here. You have to be self motivated. You have to be able to identify what's needed to get the job done. You have to be able to own your work.

Great Company

Pros

I have been with this company for a few years now. I am very proud to be part of this organization. If at anytime i have ever needed a day off for any reason they have always done that for me. If i needed to start a little late to make sure my children got to school it was never an issue. They are always more then willing to work with everyone over any matter. The fact the company is willing to give away 10 Harley Davidsons every year shows a lot. It is a great incentive for our techs to work towards. No other company does that. Also in the position i hold, I give away gift cards to techs that have clean vans on random inspections. I have read a lot of negative comments about this company, however they seem to be all from former disgruntled employees. I also know that you can find those with any company out there. Mr Bob Bull also invested money into the company health insurance to improve it for all the techs and their families. Our wages here are just as competitive as any company out there, if not slightly better. I would recommend any tech looking for a great place with great pay and benefits and a challenging trade to apply here.

Cons

occasional time away from home, some older vans that should be updated. Very minor things.

Pros

Working for the nations best mechanical contractor. I am proud to say I work here. Opportunities for advancement are great if you work hard. Every day you learn something new. The owner leads by example. If I am in the field and need help, he is one phone call away 24/7

Cons

I could say the long summer hours but I knew this from day one. We fix broken air conditioners.
