      It pays the bills

      Pros

      The salary is competitive with great benefits. Nexidia employs some very smart people and most are pleasant. The client portfolio is impressive. Nice office location in Buckhead.

      Cons

      There is little formal process, so it is challenging getting most things done. The environment is reactive instead of proactive so it is unnecessarily fast-paced. Most in management have been at Nexidia for 7-10 years so the broken processes within groups and between groups have become business as usual. The technology is dated so the product's footprint is massive and simple system changes can take 10 hours. Late night and weekend work is the norm so the work-life balance is extremely poor.

      Pros

      - Company takes efforts to hire smart people and there is generally no insecurity about asking others for help if you are not an expert on a particular area. Everyone is very willing to help. - Competitive compensation - Innovative technology and science elevates software above most other simple workflow development.

      Cons

      - Growing pains results in distractions sometimes. - Healthy customer growth means the backlog is packed with requests for more features.

      Abusive Culture. Like Serving a Sentence

      Pros

      They pay you well but you are selling your soul. Probably really nice if you enjoy being in the Israeli military.

      Cons

      Abusive senior management with limited leadership skills and vision. The argumentative culture kills innovation and new ideas and leads to a mass of people just trying to survive. Worse is that the culture is not limited to employees, but bleeds over to customers. Processes are antiquated and cumbersome. Those who pass off accountability are the ones who succeed If you are a woman or female leader-- multiply the abuse times 10.
