      No training, no help, no chance

      Pros

      It paid the bills, the commute was easy, and the team I worked in worked well together, but then we had too otherwise we would've all gone crazy.

      Cons

      No training at all. Given a role without any guidance and training, then everyone acts surprised when things don't go to plan. No real plan to support customers. Work technical staff until they break. No clear management structure. Not from Israel? Then you might as well leave straight away because you'll be left on your own to fail.

      Working at NICE was boring and depressing

      Pros

      Nice offices in a fairly good location. Ideal if you enjoy pretending to be busy because it's unlikely anyone will know what you are doing. There's nothing else positive that I can add.

      Cons

      Many of the engineers are not good enough to develop the product they are trying to sell. No budget/time to send anyone on training courses resulting in careers stagnating. Most who were good at their jobs (technical or otherwise) moved on due to poor pay and incompetence. A succession of terrible CTOs resulting in poorly designed software. Poor morale. Most time spent firefighting. Salaries below average, no raise for ~4 years. Made redundant and then screwed out of redundancy pay.

      Excellent offices and flexible working

      Cons

      Very stressful with a very high churn of technical staff Have acquired several small, successful software companies to bolster product line and to harness their "energy and enthusiasm" - the Nice homogenisation process has the effect of eradicating such attributes Career prospect very limited if you're not Israeli - all senior management positions are filled by people parachuted in from Tel Aviv
