Pros

Nothing positive to say about this company. If you have other options strongly consider before accepting. What they sell you in the interview is a lie. Managment is promoted through friendships not merit. For example a GM in Atlanta was promote and I later found out he was taking drug test for the founder of the company. Most managers are failed brokers or reps.

Cons

Everything…. no work life balance. Annual pay cuts. CFO told the carrier sales team when rolling out their annual pay cut “at the end of NTG pays your bills” this company has high turn over for a reason. No respect for employees. STAY AWAY

Pros

Got this job right out of college and had to move to an area where I had no friends. Immediately built relationships at NTG training with people I am still friends with to this day. I don't dread going to work every day because of the environment/people and actually have fun at work. There is opportunity to make a lot of money in sales, and opportunity to move up in management. Also a good springboard to get other jobs in the future.

Cons

You can work extremely hard 8-6 every day and still stay stagnant in numbers for long periods of time. Some managers don't really know what they're doing and are not qualified to help you build your book of business. Lack of operational support for reps who are not higher level sales reps, which makes hitting that threshold to get operations support difficult. People who have been there for a long time / people they like are favorited by management and given shortcuts. People that are new and kiss managements butt are given rewards over people that have been there for a long time. If you have been there for a year and have 1 off month, they can lower your commission over 50%. Managers are often people who failed in sales, any Rep who is successful makes way more than a manager, so there are few managers that know exactly how to help you grow. I have been at NTG for roughly 2 years and have not made more than 58k per year, however I stay because of the relationships/ environment and don't plan on leaving anytime soon.

Pros

- a good opportunity out of college - good benefits and PTO - opportunity to learn about logistics if you have no experience

Cons

They will run you into the ground. You are treated liked a second class citizen in the operations role and there are no opportunities for advancement unless you go into sales or management. If you do management, then you are breathing down peoples necks all day unnecessarily and drinking upper management Koolaid. If you work hard you will not be rewarded or valued as a good employee. Nolan is cut throat which is appealing but they don't treat their employees with respect regardless of these "5 star reviews" on here. There really is no point working here unless you're in sales which top brokers end up quitting due to poor treatment and work at other 3PLS. Nolan lost its culture after Coyote and UPS upper management stepped in. Now they work you like a dog and there is no extras to keep morale up .
