Pros

Good place to work, relaxed and many employee benefits

Cons

Poor HR, no software engineering processes, low pay. Software development offices next to the toilet and you can hear every flush. Almost no meaningful product/software requirements definitions which lead to a moving target which half the bonus is based on. No requirement = management more easily changing verbal requirements at the drop of a hat. I have worked at companies that were great at defining requirement in the Telecommunications and Medical industries as well as companies which do none (like Nordson) in my 25 years of software development. I quit with no other job lined up just to go somewhere that knows what they are developing.

Pros

Nordson has very good people working here. It is easy to get along with everyone. It has good flexibility and give you a good amount of freedom in your work.

Cons

Salary review are horible. Raises are poor. It is not common to get a raise when you get a promotion. In order to give a higher raise to one person, someone else has to get a lower raise, even if everyone is a high performer. You are not rewarded for good work.

Pros

The Benefits and people are great.

Cons

Not open to new ideas and ways of thinking. Would not recommend this for organization to people of color. They don’t advance and are not considered for management opportunities. The leadership talks about diversity but don’t truly believe in the power of it. Management is old school and prefers to control and babysit. That’s why they aren’t flexible with working from home options. It’s a joke.
