Pros

I can't think of anything good to say. Sorry.

Cons

No value for family, employees or individual. It's a culture of CYA, back stabbing, cannibalistic JAs.

Pros

Good pay for the work required. Great benefits package. Most employees are very good people to work with. Clean environment in air conditioned plant.

Cons

Poorest managed place I have ever worked at. Definitely need a union due to the way employees are treated. Recent plant expansion should have allowed for senior employees to advance to day shift but those positions are being reserved for new hires. Company drags their feet about buying parts to fix equipment. Very big problem with training, lack of I should say. Long hours each week. Company went to a 4 shift plan to help with overtime but done away with shifts in some departments and now expects B shift to cover so right back to 60 - 80 hour weeks. Not a job for someone with a family. Lots of people, even some who have been there for quite some time, are looking for a better job. Not enough drug testing, too many people doing drugs and getting away with it because of "random" testing. Plants are not treated the same as far as some benefits like: simple perk of free ice and coffee at Alabama plant, people at Paris have asked for this and haven't gotten it. Alabama has lots of parts for equipment that they need yet other plants, mostly Paris, have tried to get parts and can't get them unless someone drives to Flora or Salem for parts. Management simply doesn't listen to employees and doesn't consider ideas or complaints. Tobacco use also a very big problem within the plant. Company doesn't use the "handbook" to address problems.

Toxic environment

Pros

Profit sharing is deposited into 401K

Cons

Toxic environment with no care for employees. Management only wants "yes men". Management is afraid of people who know more than they do about their segment of the business. They are a billion dollar company who still operate with a "good 'ol boy club" mentality.
