Pros

What are the best reasons to work here? Can't think of any at the moment. Rumors and dysfunctional, weak leadership have replaced every positive quality this company used to have.

Cons

After the MSC acquisition STOPS has gone downhill faster than Mario Andretti in the final lap of an Indy car race. There are no leaders left in this company, nothing but call center employees who still answer the phone but have no clue what is going on. None of the exec's share information with anyone except their immediate friends, and rumors have been flying for months that layoffs are coming.

Pros

Big break Room, big parking lot.

Cons

They expect you to do 3 tests which are 50 questions each test. The first test is practically 4 days after you start and they expect you to memorize a whole bunch of things in 4 days. Its insane. If you dont pass the first test, they tell you that you must get a high score in the second test. Even if you are getting the hang of the company procedures and are calling customers back with no errors and are giving them the correct information and are knowledgeable of everything. if you dont pass the second test, they fire you. they expect you to memorize so many things for the test instead of putting you out there and taking care of the customers and if you make a mistake, you learn from it. Not taking some dumb tests and just because you didnt remember certain things, you get fired!!! its heartless, and thats not how you take care of your employees how you say you do. You go through the interview process so you can see who the right candidate is. Then you chose who you want to hire and keep! Not hire someone and then if they dont pass a test, even if they are getting the hang of it, you fire them!!! Very Very heartless and mean!!!!

Pros

I've been with STOPS for 5 years now and worked in several different departments. The place where STOPS really shines is the employees and the culture created by the original owners. My co-workers know how to work hard and be very productive, but also have fun. I'm surprised at all of the times I've had a laugh with a team mate while working in such a dreary industry. The managers are friendly and HR has been responsive to my needs and questions.

Cons

The purchase by OCM along with the recent acquisition of Optimal Care has many of us worried what the future may hold. I hope that our new corporate owners will recognize what a rare gem this place is and how special the people are.
