Pros

Honestly, the only pro is that you have weekends off.

Cons

omg where do I begin--the management is lazy, the medical records department is lazy, they work their employees to death and underpay them. This company takes on more business than it can handle and then blame the employees when the referral customers complain about the turnaround time for scheduling, etc. Team leads and supervisors do nothing but walk around all day, look at movies on their computer, go on facebook, pay bills using the company computer and telephone, which is SUPPOSED to be against company policy for anyone to do. They come in late but will dock or write up the employee who does the same. Team leads complain about their work but spend half of their shift talking to other employees and telling you to auto in and take a call. I would not recommend this working here unless you are a college student who needs a job to hold them over until you go back to school or graduate. Also, you are monitored monthly about your calls. Its so much to remember and they dissect every little thing. unless you don't plan on being with this company for a long time, please look elsewhere. You can do better. Work for a company who cares about their employees. This company has no flexiblity, the PTO policy sucks, the health benefits are very expensive and the providers on the health plan suck. There are employees walking around with no insurance because they cannot afford it.

Pros

Good benefits, hours, pay... perfect desk job.

Cons

Not a fair environment when it comes to promotions. People are promoted by their relationships rather than their job performance. If you aren't friends with your supervisor, then you aren't getting promoted. My bosses weren't able to give me feedback on why I wasn't given a promotion over the other candidates. HR doesn't care about the employee, and are of no help whatsoever.

One Call employs a structured promotion process that involves HR review to ensure fairness and consistency. Please feel free to schedule a meeting with HR to discuss your current concerns regarding management. We are glad to hear that you otherwise enjoy your job – including the benefits, hours and pay.
