Pros

Good benefits, decent pay, lunches provided on Fridays.

Cons

Non-approachable management, clear "favorites" shown within the HR personnel, no room for growth within the company, loud and unprofessional atmosphere, harassment by other employees goes unchecked and uninvestigated, sexual harassment claims are completely ignored, massive disconnect between "regular" employees and management, hostile work environment.

Pros

Free food and beer in break room Decent pay for the area OK medical coverage Mon-Fri schedule

Cons

Hires temps so they don't have to provide benefits. High turn over of full time employees. Terrible management. The majority of them were brand new, or being replaced, and had no clue what they were doing. Limited communication between departments. Average employee was over 50, white and female. Many had no clue what they were doing either. Randomly lets employees go with no reason or notice. Downsizing to become an e-commerce company with no knowledge of what they're doing. Most of the employees are covering multiple positions and the managers cannot help most of the time. Only exists still because Los Angeles requires eFiling companies like this one to process legal documents.

Pros

Personal freedom and self direction in most job descriptions. Helpful for learning about legal documents if you plan on becoming a paralegal or attorney assistant, or plan on working for the courts. You are also not really expected to do anything outside the office, which is nice in today's "my boss emails me at 3AM" culture. It's a great starter job for someone who is in college or just finished, but college is definitely not required to do this job. If you are detail oriented, this is the job for you.

Cons

- Mad Attorneys - Very little backup when dealing with said Attorneys - You will be waiting, A LOT. Waiting in the clerk's office, waiting on phone calls/emails... Especially if you are a court runner. - There is an incredibly high expectation of filing completion, that frankly is unrealistic due to the court process and the large amount of people that are at the clerk's office to file stuff every day. Imagine you visiting the DMV every day. This is like that, only worse. - There are practically no raises. Only Cost of Living. There are no merit based raises, no bonuses, no nothing. If you expect movement, this is likely not the place for you unless you plan on being there 5+ years. - You will feel over worked and under appreciated.
