Pros

SOME of the management and executives are amazing! Work with some great people on teams Some good benefits

Cons

Little to no training or sales training No coaching on performance, call recordings etc. zero 1:1 meetings during tenure Felt like I was a part of a scam as we were to sell tax solutions to people with tax debts but had no clear process in what we do to help them. Leaving many questions with very vague answers. Seems like there is more emphasis on spending money on image, accolades and awards to be the best workplace without actually making it the best workplace. No WFH stipend, no communication during WFH so very easy to feel isolated and alone. No virtual mixers or anything to keep engagement. The culture that is constantly celebrated is nonexistent. Started out position with amazing leaders that were supportive and understood work/life balance. Then came a new leader from debtmerica who immediately created hostility and pushed me away from the organization in the matter of 2 weeks. This person did not take the time to meet me, brushed me off when I was asking for help when I was having struggles and then called me out to the team while I was struggling insinuating I would be removed from the team after many months of performing. Demanded our lives to revolve around this position and taking any time off or not working a 6th day would reflect poorly. Also mi minimized the work of client facing roles as easy and basic. (How does this person align with an award winning culture?) Team mates that were with me from the beginning felt her taking the team down. When it was time for me to depart for a new position this “leader” took no time to talk with me or recognize me and communicated to HR I was leaving for “personal reasons”

Pros

only positive is health insurance, but thats almost any other FT Job.

Cons

Everything is Favoritism. Favoritism.. If you’re not their favorite, they step on you like egg shells. Management is horrible. Communication is the worst. Management became even worse during remote work and when hiring new management. The pay is not enough. Commission restructure is always redone making you make even less income. Which is discouraging rather than encourage employees to work more. Management takes forever to reply to messages and emails. Management only reaches out when they need to nag on you. The pay is not enough for the work we do. Instead they add additional work on top of your job title that was never part of the original job description and yet not even additional pay for the extra work they’re including on top of your current work. You then fall behind on your work and it’s YOUR fault if you’re not On top of it, yet they’re adding even more work on top Which is difficult to even keep Up. There’s only so many hours in a day. Also, they make you be on a Zoom pod your whole eight hour shift with your camera on. Dont you know how uncomfortable that is? Having everyone stare at you while you work and feel that cant even move a muscle? And if they dont see you on the camera, they get on your neck why aren't you on camera, why is your camera off, or that they cant see your whole face and can only see your forehead . Yet management isn't even on these pods?!?!?!?!!? They only pop in whenever they want. What is the point of these pods if it is not to monitor? Other than that there is literally no point to be in a pod it doesn't add any benefit. Management can easily monitor your work in the system rather than having everyone stare at each other during your whole 8 hour shift.. Its very awkward. It wasnt always like this. Pods were only around for 2-3 months beginning of remote work last year and then we were free to work without "supervision". Plus, we were able to perform even BETTER and they were still monitoring our work without being in these uncomfortable pods. All of a sudden they brought these annoying pods back. This company makes huge bucks, but rather than give their existing employees a small raise they rather hire new employees. Very stingy. Overall, The stress is not worth it. I used to enjoy my job. I then started to hate to come in everyday. Best to find another company to work with unless you're very desperate fo a job, but it's best to not settle for less by applying here. You're worth more than that. P.S. : overworked while being underpaid, attendance System is horrible, low PTO.

We are very sorry you had such a negative experience with the Company and would like to take a moment to address some of the items you listed below. We are currently investing in several leadership development programs and implementing strategies to better communicate with our teams in this remote environment and will continue to make both initiatives a top priority. Our recent commission restructure we’ve had for some of our teams are to promote customer care and service—rewarding those employees who provide clients with exceptional customer service. Those who have adapted to this focus and model have the opportunity to make MORE than they have previously. Client experience and care is a focus of the company and we expect all employees to make this a priority. The majority of our employees have expressed extreme support of the new commission structure and many are seeing that they will be making more in this new model. The zoom pods are created to promote collaboration between employees and their departments. It gives managers and leaders the ability to quickly communicate to their team members along with providing support and answering any questions that may arise. This helps individuals with their learning, development, and mastering their respective roles and not all teams require having cameras on. We want to continue with this culture of collaboration and support, even in a remote environment. We offer a pretty lucrative amount of time off including 10 days of PTO, Wellness Days, Sick Days and Volunteer Days. Regarding attendance, most teams are very flexible to adjust schedules when needed and when a last-minute emergency arises, our attendance system allows for many instances of that without penalty. In fact, we have had more employees than ever be part of our Great Attendance Award program which provides additional PTO days for those who are consistently clocking in/out on time. We thank you for your feedback and wish you the best in your career!
