A passionate and hardworking team

Pros

This company has an incredibly hardworking and intelligent team that cares so deeply about the patients and overall mission of making GI care better for all. It has also been obvious as new team members are brought on that this passion is an important factor during the hiring process. There is a lot of room for growth at this company. There are many chances to get involved in projects and initiatives, even if it doesn't line up exactly with your position. Regardless of "rank" in the company, your ideas will be heard and valued, especially among the leadership team.

Cons

There is an expectation to work hard and long hours. Since patient experience and safety is the number one priority, this can mean late nights and weekends depending on the role. The mission of the company and the feeling that your work actually means something makes it worth it.

Pros

Oshi Health is an early stage digital health company with a very compelling mission to eliminate the impact of GI conditions. The actual offering - a full stack virtual clinic with a multi-disciplinary care team - is quite innovative and on the cutting edge of where healthcare needs to go. The company lives up to its core values and culture goals. As an early stage company, they provide substantial opportunity to take on work and have high impact regardless of your level within the organization. The Leadership Team is highly accessible, communicative and open to feedback. Through various strategic pivots and culture/workplace evolutions with COVID, they have always been genuine, transparent and trying to do the right thing. Beyond that, the rest of the team is quite collaborative and has a very good teaming environment. Overall the culture encourages directness, openness, humility, improvement and support. This is essential when working on such a compelling but complex problem/solution. Finally - The passion and drive across the team is extremely high and infectious. Everyone at the company is very passionate about the mission and believes in its transformative potential. They do a good job of valuing and shouting out all employees and their contributions toward such an important mission.

Cons

In any company this size working on a problem this complex, there can be a lot of work. I don't think the expectations are unreasonable, but all team members work quite hard. This is not a 9-5 job. Also, for new employees, the training, learning, development and support systems are not quite as built out as they are at larger corporations. But that is a natural trade off for a startup at this stage.

Innovative & Caring Team

Pros

It's exciting to play an active role in a product that can drastically change the lives of so many people. I feel the impact every day, and that's incredibly rewarding and motivating. The leadership team takes our Core Values to heart, and listens to the opinions and ideas of every employee. I feel appreciated here, and cared for both professionally and personally.

Cons

It's a small, earlier-stage start-up, and that naturally comes with constant change, some uncertainty, and challenges to work through. This isn't the place for someone who likes to have the same, consistent day-to-day work life.
