Pros

25 years working for this company - it gets sold every 3-5 years. If you can get into management, you'll get paid a living wage for a constant headache - akin to banging your head against a brick wall.

Cons

Started out and worked for years as a premium auditor and loss control inspector, then worked as a reviewer, middle management and finally at Home Office. I know where the bodies are buried. Field Reps can only make a living if they cheat. I've seen many get fired for forging signatures, etc. If you do the job as management trains and expects, you'll make less than minimum wage, and you'll run the wheels off your car. Upper management is constantly working on ways to pay less and make the employees think they're making more. Seriously, any other premium audit fee company will do you better. These are, unfortunately, the used car salesmen of the insurance industry, and that's an insult to used car salesmen.

Pros

Originally a great company to work for.

Cons

In the last 3 years management made a decision to clandestinely age descriminate and force out their high earning senior field reps, they did so by revising the pay scale and paying senior auditors the same as new trainees, this resulted in some of us taking a 40-45% pay cut, I am sure their attorneys structured this new pay plan to thin out the herd without legal repercussions, -Shame on them!!!

Pros

You can work your own schedule. Work is easy to conduct

Cons

Pay is poor, they do not pay mileage which is a minus considering 4.00 a gallon gas. You pay for your own gas and upkeep on your vehicle. Supervisors frequently assign you work that is outside of your area and then refuse to cancel assignment or give to someone who is closer to the area. There are some who review reports that are seriously bias and despite following all of the guidelines make up new rules as they go along and when confronted cannot give a reasonable explanation. Frequently the supervisor for the area does not return phone call messages and is never available to answer questions. There is no oversight over local supervision and no oversight of those who edit the daily reports. Pay is frequently delayed or not issued until you contact them despite claiming that it will be issued on certain dates.
