Pros

Company stability, promotions are available, interesting products, excellent career experience, opportunity for the development of sales skills, financial analysis, accounting, credit, basic lending fundamentals, and large corporate culture assimilation.

Cons

The company does not listen to employees. There is a way to do things, and input to change those ways are not heard. The salary is not what it should be, but the company dictates a message that people are lucky to work for Paccar.

Pros

With many years of experience and hindsight, I respect how executive management has consistently and successfully managed the company through difficult business cycles and kept it profitable. Yes, this comes at a cost, but when you take a broader look at how other businesses continually restructure and change their business models, PACCAR has stayed focused on what they do best and continue to grow the company at a reasonable and responsible rate. Expectations are high of everyone and that does include those at the top. When given responsibility for something, you are expected to deliver business results; not excuses. Budget and people are not the only way to drive success. You need to be creative and innovative too. This combined with a positive and supportive attitude will open doors for new opportunities. Executive management emphasizes ethical and professional business practices. If you are up to the challenge, this is one great company to work for.

Cons

PACCAR is somewhat unique in that given its global reach, executive management is not far from where the rubber meets the road. They understand the business and watch their business operations closely. For some, this is frustrating.
