Pros

Consistent shareholder return Opportunities for those who fit the "mold" (and generous opportunites, at that) Stable and reliable employment Great place to be if you don't want to be heard

Cons

Compensation low; inconsistent, less than impressive raises No COLA No training on the cultural environment, if a political "blunder" is commited or you tell them your opinion (because you are asked...they really do not care), your career is then maimed for the duration. More minorities and women are appearing on the scene - it "feels" like some are promoted just as figureheads and social responsibility.

Pros

I feel relatively secure in my job. You have the ability to take control of your job and own it. If you have a good boss your job is exponentially better (there are many great managers there, a few not-so-good). Retirement plan appears strong.

Cons

(Aside from cutting edge engineering/technical advancement of PACCAR's products) The company is very bottom line driven and slow to add "new" anything (positions, computers, processes) as economy recovers. Compensation feels lower than peers at other local companies.

Pros

Excellent pay and benefits, uniforms provided, good working environment, great hours, excellent co workers hold the place together, good retirement plan.

Cons

Poor leadership in management level Good ole boy network - females rarely promoted When they post a job, they already have a candidate in mind, so don't bother applying. It's who you know which determines how far you'll go.
