Pros

Not much to rave about... there are no pros when the company is only focused on making money, not on the patient.

Cons

Long work hours, unrealistic goals & vision, not a patient centric organization, the truth is never told. I made the leap of faith, under the belief that this company cares about the employees and the patients, could not be further from the truth. I read some of the reviews and still went forward, my advice to you, LOOK BE FOR YOU LEAP!! Really evaluate the pros and cons before you make the move to work for this company. My title was changed at the last minute, my salary changed, and I was enticed with the advancement opportunities. I also was told that the plan was for me to operate my own practice, in to my third week, I was told by my supervisor/mentor, "there's no place for you to go, so you're not going any where, there never was any where for you in the first place, so don't think you're leaving this office." Wow really? Four weeks prior to coming on board I was told the exact opposite!!!! I actually in my 3 1/2 weeks met the creator/owner of the organizations, nice enough man, clueless as to what is happening at the office level other than the $'s and cents of the operation...or morelikely he cares not to notice... I'm sick over the fact that I'm unemployed now because I allowed these criminals to rail road me in to a corner...beware of the lies and deceit...

Pros

The dental benefits are really great, most of the work is dirt cheap with employee discount, however, its also hard finding a dentist that can do the work and not create more problems.

Cons

The health benefits are a joke, the treatment of patients and employees alike is very harsh. You're expected to "upsell the insurance" which is also known as fraud. Adding unnecessary obstructed canals and ortho appliances is the name of the game. Drive the price up for the patient and get as much as possible out of the insurance whether the procedure is necessary or not, as long as they can't prove it, go for it. Ethics do not exist with this company, from the HR department down to management, they are out to cover their own butts and don't care who they have to burn in the process. I personally witnessed several employees working off the clock as the request of the office manager, even made a formal complaint with the ethics hotline, what resulted? Being told by my district manager that "if someone doesn't like how things are done here, there is the door" and that "loyal, good, employees are willing to do what it takes to make the office successful." I think the CEO Steve Thorne is a good guy but unfortunately there are a bunch of clowns working under him.

Pros

Opportunity for fresh grad dentists. Cerec machine is very cool. I love Emax crowns. Free CE courses, although many are mandatory which sucks. BC coordinators are very happy here.

Cons

Unfortunately everything described in the Cons section by other associate dentists in their reviews, both current and former, are true. The management does what's best for them. They don't care about the "lifetime value of a patient" or the patient perfect experience. In my manager's eyes, s/he won't be around for that long so s/he only cares about maximizing the numbers to benefit him/herself now. To him/her, it's not about patient care; it's about him/her numbers today for "who knows what tomorrow holds" (A common PDS quote).
