Pros

The other account managers make it marginally easier to want to enter the office 4 days a week

Cons

KPIs are unfair. Incentives are unfair. Attitude on the floor towards AMs is horrific. People work hard for no reward. The product is dead. The recent 5* reviews are false, there isn’t a single AM on the floor that would say that.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and for the contribution you made during your time at PHMG. We’re genuinely sorry to read that you feel this way about your time in the Account Management team, and it’s clear from your comments that your experience left you feeling undervalued and frustrated. We take feedback around KPIs, incentives, and culture extremely seriously - particularly when it relates to fairness, recognition, and how individuals feel supported day to day. While we can’t comment on individual circumstances, we do want to reassure you that we continuously review performance metrics and reward structures to ensure they reflect the realities of the role and remain transparent, achievable and aligned with both individual and business success. We’re also concerned by your comments regarding the floor culture and the perception of attitudes toward AMs. We appreciate you raising these points. If you’re open to it, we would welcome the opportunity to better understand your experience directly, as this kind of feedback is most valuable when we can explore it in more detail. Please feel free to contact us confidentially via HR@phmg.com. Wishing you the best for your next step. PHMG People Team

Pros

They hire good account managers

Cons

Leadership are completely out of touch, on a power trip and have no idea what the job involves. Most have never done it themselves but still act high and mighty. They can take zero criticism and sulk like little boys if you dare to offer your ideas as a lowly account manager to the superior managers. Ther is no trust and no genuine care for employees and no clear direction. Decisions come from the top with no thought or care as to how employees are effected with no critical thinking, no reasons as to why we are asked to do what we do and the whole department is built on hierarchy of yes men. Feedback sessions are purely performative. The culture is toxic and overly controlled. Micromanagement dominates every aspect of the job, quality control are listening to each call you make to pull apart every inch of the work you do. But you can't give any kind of quality output when you are expected to manage hundreds of clients with no support. You are monitored nonstop and given no flexibility and treated like a child. Morale is at rock bottom. Do I even need to say this look at the reviews. Everyone on the team is looking for a new job, even newer starters. Pay. At the end of the day, we come to work to earn a living and it is that simple. People genuinely want to do well and make money but that is impossible when the company keeps setting targets tied to things we can’t control. Give people a fair opportunity to succeed instead of punishing them for issues handled by other teams. If you want motivated employees start by creating a system that actually rewards hard work rather than exploiting it. To make matters worse you respond to bad reviews on here by telling staff to “speak to the council” but when managers are council representatives, thats absurd.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. This isn’t the kind of experience we want for anyone on our team. We take all concerns seriously, and there are several avenues available to raise and resolve them. We always encourage speaking with your direct line manager in the first instance, but if you don’t feel comfortable doing so, our Workplace Champions are available to offer confidential support and guidance on next steps. Alternatively, the formal grievance procedure, available in the Employee Handbook, can also be followed.

Females beware

Pros

Telephone Sales, snacks in office

Cons

Be very wary if you’re a female looking to work here, very very likely you’ll feel uncomfortable everyday you’re in the office. This is not a healthy/ good place to work. There are other jobs out there that pay more, it’s not worth the little pay for harassment.
