Would not recommend for young IT Profecionals
Pros
There is a lot of good, very nice people that have worked here for-eh-ver. The compensation and benefits are okay but below average in my experience. I have received better on both counts at other companies.
Cons
The company as a whole is an older workforce. There are a lot of organizational silos. Stingy with stock options, as in there are none. Compared to my previous professional experience, it's not a cutting-edge place to work. It's not an Agile-minded company as it is slow to adopt new tech and methodologies and slow to rollout projects. For example, it just recently got around to moving some of its applications to the cloud. I did not feel it was a challenging workplace and there were no opportunities for upper mobility in IT. I observed that IT is slowly transitioning to an outsourced workforce. I experienced small (one to three people), slow-rolling layoffs in my last days there. One day I was working with a coworker and my manager, and the next day they were gone without notice. It was very frustrating but signaled to me that it was time to move on.
