Pros

If this is your first job out of college, you will get some solid training.

Cons

Turnover (currently at 35+% turnover for my class alone. They will lie to you about this if you ask in the interview process. If you don't fit in or under perform for a short amount of time you are out!) Over populated sales territories, an industry in decline as most are switching to the cloud, lies about your base salary going into the role as there is a draw against your commission and base salary (even if you over perform one month, and under perform the next you are then in a hole trying to dig your way out/ HR NEVER mentioned this when hiring), management team / team distribution is grossly uneven (It is all about what territory you end up in and what manager you work for. Look out, there are some terrible leaders), completely metric driven (metrics are out of date as is the software used to track them. Funny considering you are working for a tech company but using a CRM from 25+ years ago), Out of date fraternity type culture (male driven, cubicles, gambling, dip cups everywhere, if you were not in a fraternity don't bother), Blatant racism at the highest levels ("do we really want someone who sounds like they are from the hood on the phones")

Pros

Other employees are cool and fun to work with. CEO and managers that help with training new bda's are helpful. Office is nice.

Cons

The job was completely misrepresented to be much better than it actually was. Your finger will break from dialing the phone so many times on cold leads allllll day long. Expect to sit in a cube for 10 hrs straight cold calling while being scrutinized for everything you do. You better not have to take a leak, because they will even critique the way you walk to the bathroom. As a grown adult it is insulting to be treated like a kid that needs to be watched every second of the day. The micro managing is out of control and driven by the guy who is more like a drill sergeant than he is a leader. Your metrics, phone dials, time on phone, call logs will all be under a microscope constantly. Going to work everyday was worse than jumping into shark infested waters. Don't expect to have any work life balance because "park place people" aren't your typical sales people. They expect you to eat, sleep, and breath this job. My first day waking up and realizing I didn't have to go back, was the best day of my life. My advice: just don't do it.

Pros

The only upside to PPT is the benefit package great for the industry

Cons

Where to start I worked for PPT for 13years the original field engineering crew was the best I’ve seen. As time went by slowly talented people started leaving mostly because of the management team. What a waste to see all your talent walk out the door. The management team sucks the life out of its employees and customers. All the management team is the next big contract to expand there portfolio they don’t care about anything else but bottom line. Acquisitions is how they grow not building and slowly putting resources in place. Since investors were implemented management no longer cares about the customer but money and growth. It will be PPT downfall because they will be overinflated and will pop from becoming to big.
