Terrible leadership team

Pros

Great coworkers, free fountain drinks

Cons

Senior leadership is inexperienced and doesn't know how to effectively communicate directions to their employees. Changes are made on a whim and everyone is expected to pivot quickly. It's hard to do when you have more than 6,000 employees in the organization. Senior leadership doesn't take the time to come down and talk to their employees. They remain hidden within themselves. There's no documentation within the departments and it makes for training new people challenging. Work efforts and goals are unrealistic. Normal functions that take other organizations years to accomplish are expected to be delivered in a month's time or less. Pay is on par with other organizations in Oklahoma and Texas, but trails other leading organizations. Changes at the top level leadership may help the organization turn around since many are inexperienced and have worked there when Paycom was young. The whole cloud averse way of thinking is backwards and so is the full return to office initiative. They lost some really good and talented employees because of these things.

The worst company I've ever worked for

Pros

$1 health insurance, nothing else

Cons

1. Truly depressing working environment. Hundreds of lifeless gray cubicles, bright fluorescent lights. 2. Culture? What culture? Every meeting/training on zoom? Coworkers literally looked like soulless robots. A lots of forced small talks. 3. Absolutely no work- life balance. One might as well move in there and forget about their family. 4. And no, the CEO does NOT care. The "we care" propaganda is another lie. If it was true, they wouldn't tell employees to return to office when promised to WFH.

Pros

a gym and free coffee/water

Cons

Your day will be spent submitting tickets and answering over 150 emails, all while taking on phone calls. Training does not prepare you for the actual work you will doing and the system is always glitching. The turnover in the Payroll service department is very high and many new hires quit in the first few months.
