Pros

Immediate working group was fantastic - very close knit. Great collaboration, generated great outcomes.

Cons

Major company-wide downsizing with no plan in place to handle workload. Tons of stress on those left holding the ball.

Pros

The pay and benefits are good. As is often the case, there are some good people at the lower levels.

Cons

Company is hated by pretty much everyone. Products produced by company are sub-par. No accountability on any level. Monopoly. Limited opportunities for advancement. Company places profits and saving money above all else as evidenced by the terrible open-plan office layout at the Bulverde location and recent release of senior employees. Abundance of 'rah-rah go team' corporate propaganda.

Pros

The people working at Pearson are clearly bright and passionate.

Cons

Pearson is in a constant state of reorganization and change, making it difficult to make effective progress. Morale is very low. Extremely limited opportunities for career growth. Several thousand employees were let go this year and the annual bonus was canceled.
