      The culture was all about Pet's, Pet parents and what's best for both!

      Cons

      They don't value long time Petco experience, only if your in a job that's difficult to replace.

      Workload Planning needs work...

      Pros

      Fast Paced Environment. Lots of great pet parent/pet interaction. Great employee discount on own brands. I work with some great people.

      Cons

      Petco has no process in place to track payroll to workload. Same number of hours provided regardless of the size of freight shipment or section resets. There's no process of assigning workload to specific employees, so there is no productivity accountability, leading to finger-pointing, backstabbing, and a generally depressed store morale. Technology is ancient (I think our register system is Windows 97 based (!). Problems in the store are not addressed in an efficient way. It took close to a month to get an electrical problem in our aquatics section fixed so the tank lights would come on. 2 of our 3 register price scanners don't work. The floors are filthy. The list goes on and on....
