The appallingly poor management of the company after being bought out by an equity firm a couple years ago is driving the business into the ground. Turnover is staggering and morale from the top on down is in the toilet. You're expected to do 12 hours of work in an 8 hour shift with just 2 other employees in the store to help you. Pay isn't even close to fair with some store leaders or general store managers starting out at $37,000 while others get $55,000 or more owing to how desperate upper management is to hire somebody and not based on qualifications or work background. Cashiers start at $8-9.00 max without exception and don't receive but a 20-30 cent raise once a year if they're lucky. They've began using weekly scorecards that track every little piece of the business and are firing employees who can't sell dog training and hit sales goals for services. This company will likely be bankrupt in the next few years and will have to close many stores.
