Pros

Can bring pets to work Same level co-workers sympathize with each other Opportunity to learn because they company stays short staffed

Cons

Not flexible with schedules Buildings not cleaned often Bad communication from management No recognition for performance Management doesn't care about retaining good employees Promotions for employees who are lazy and unknowledgable, but none for deserving employees Must "kiss-ass" to get advancement When employees leave, work gets passed on to those who are left, instead of re-hiring

Pros

-3 days in office, 2 at home. -can bring your animal in.

Cons

-leadership is beyond incapable. Many who are in senior positions either: 1) were spared from the new management coming in and are glossy eyed politics players that literally have no idea how to run their areas or grow a business 2) leaders that fly in a week here or there (way to save expenses...) have their own priorities and no idea how to treat people or think about the customer. -ceo who is detached

Pros

Some pros include meeting great coworkers, usually work with your schedule either full or part timers, working with animals (rare but happens) and discounts discounts discounts. The discounts are the only reason i am still working here.

Cons

Is there a limit of cons? Every store i know around the LA and other states face all the same issue, payroll. Hours being cut and some partners only work once or twice a week because hours are so bad. The people and area, while this not be the case for everyone, but we deal with your typical Karens, homeless, or regular thieves on a daily basis but it is a typical retail job. Petco's slogan? Animals come first. Biggest lie any company has ever said, the animals vendors always sending us dead or almost dead animals and expect us to bring them back to life. Highers up getting mad at every partner for the animals dying and "punish" by cutting the hours for the whole store. Forced to push Vital Care Premiers down the customers throat, lie by not mentioning that is it a yearly commitment or sign up customers on the register without their consent or with false information so the store does not get red flagged by higher ups. Dont work here.
