Out of touch leadership, lots of mediocre middle management

Pros

You can learn a lot at PitchBook if you're willing to put in the effort.

Cons

As others have said, the leadership seems eager to die on the hill of forcing everyone back to the office (FULL TIME) even though our performance was strong during covid. It's frustrating to be pandered to about the benefits of returning instead of feeling like our voices have been heard at all. Also, lots of underwhelming middle managers who don't seem likely to ever leave, sometimes blocking growth for great employees who end up leaving instead. For both of those reasons, PitchBook will continue to lose people.

Disappointing at best

Pros

If you are on the right team, you will work with people who are passionate about their jobs and want the best for those around them. The onboarding is fairly good. I came into the company with very little knowledge of the industry and was able to adapt in just a few weeks.

Cons

Leadership has no vision. Pay is extremely low. Monoculture. Most people are so young that it's hard to find a mentor inside the company. Progress moves at a glacial pace compared to other tech companies of their size.

Pros

In-office perks like coffee, snacks, & new workspaces/equipment Set schedule for members of the support team

Cons

Joining the company I saw a lot of hope for the contributions I could make to the organization, and my future career growth. Unfortunately about halfway into my tenure at the company management changed significantly mid-lower level and within my team specifically. Once that change occurred, there was no longer a focus on in-depth training and knowledge, but rather on numbers and goals that the individual members of the support team had very little insight into. The company promised a lot in terms of help and support for employees that were going above and beyond in the duties of their current roles, but time and time again my efforts were met with my manger/leadership not knowing how to answer my questions, or even get answers themselves. I felt very under-utilized and disrespected/not considered, which was especially unfortunate because of the advertised focus on employees. Definitely felt tricked and not listened to when I gave specific feedback and shared what I was experiencing.
