Pros

Autonomy on projects (in certain departments)

Cons

Fraternity-like culture Managers are not held accountable for condescending behavior or trained (most are also men) Promised a diversity & inclusion initiative, instead just hosted a charity drive Gossip is rampant Sexual harassment training is not taken seriously Heavily reliant on referrals which is proven to not help with diversifying employees Disrespect across teams - each team thinks they're "the best" and their goals are "above" others All sales driven Underpaid

Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad to hear you had autonomy in your work while at PitchBook and I hope you developed skills that will be valuable in your next position. I also want to address your other feedback since you’re not here to see the incredible investments PitchBook is making. We’re launching our leadership development roadmap for all levels of the organization and specifically investing in our women leaders at PitchBook. This includes harassment training because creating a safe environment is our top priority. While referrals are a candidate source for PitchBook, as it is for many companies, our recruiting team works hard to find the best candidate for the position through a variety of sources. As you know, company initiatives like diversity & inclusion require planning and participation from all employees to be successful and we’re excited for see this initiative grow. Our Leadership and People Team welcome feedback on how we can improve and continue to make PitchBook a great place to work. Please reach out to me if you’d like to discuss specific ideas for our current team based on your experience at PitchBook.

Pros

Growth & learning opportunities. Some incredibly smart people

Cons

-We're beating a dead horse at this point, but compensation is nowhere near competitive. "We make compensation decisions based on in-depth analysis of similar companies in our space." Okay. -Many major issues are treated like long-term issues that can be put off until a later date. -Emotional decision-making -Lack of respect for employees -Little diversity - it's a frat house (kegs included). -Repetitive, mind-numbing roles are oversold as exciting, high-pace opportunities -Insane turnover

Pros

if you like to drink they go out a lot but more often than not it's on your dime not the company's you can dress as scrubby as you want People wear shorts, yes shorts, to work nice people that work there (most of them are working scared though)

Cons

you have to pay for a % (15%) of your benefits. it's very sneaky how they do it No equity, it's not even discussed no career growth the CEO is very very frugal lots of screen time no cohesion across departments management is very shaky tons of turnover they expect to pay AM's in NYC 50k, with the promise to crush commissions (2%) of whatever the sale is dont think for a second that this could be a stepping stone to working for a pE/VC firm
