Pros

The once a year summer BBQ. Such great potential for the company but nothing will ever change as long as the owners there.

Cons

Extremely high turnover. Some employees had over 5 bosses in 3 years. All the good management leaves because none of their opinions or ideas get noticed. Absolute terrible management as a result. They are all yes people, all they do is agree with what the owner wants. HR department is an absolute joke. They do not care about the employees at all. All they do is team up with different managers and talk bad about them. All politics. No career advancement, they will throw more work on to you without pay or recognition. Do NOT be fooled by the salary. They overpay to reel you in and then your fired 6 months later with no reason just a good package and off you go. You will be looking for a new job very soon, suggest looking away and finding something with more job security.

Pros

Good profitable business with solid customer base- fair remuneration for job

Cons

Overly political and back stabbing. CFO has started her own little girl's group and is trying to power play herself to the top. They get rid of people in their way and talk behind people's back. Poisonous work atmosphere because of that.

Pros

Employment, paycheck, salary... you get the point

Cons

You will be required to work more than what you are paid for (beyond the job description). This is a private company with an entrepreneurial attitude. It means they can and will eliminate you when it's convenient for them. They will take care of themselves first and you need to ensure that you provide value to them or you will be removed. They will NOT invest in their employees. There's a lot of politics here (as with every company) but this one is so glaringly blatant. If you come from a decent, cultured, refined, structured and excellently managed company, this is NOT the place for you. Work place is like a jungle where you cannot trust anyone, including your group mates or co-workers. Make the most for yourself and learn as much as you can. It is a mistake to think you have a future here. Employee turnover is very high and demoralizing. As they are using you, use them as you search for another job. Even recruiters didn't want to deal with me due to the stained reputation of the company. The best time working here is when you're alone to focus on your work --- so expect frequent and regular overtimes. It requires tremendous amounts of willpower & optimism to persevere in this hostile environment --- it will bring out the best in you (or worst depending on how you approach adversity).
