Pros

4/10 work schedule, 3 day weekends, cool desk mates, no other responsibilities aside from texts

Cons

your professional career and momentum may come to a painfully slow halt. If you're looking for guidance and mentors, do not start here. Though its a remote startup for the rest of the company, there is barely any communication or mentorship from the rest of the company. Training was only like half a week long and then we were working live. They praise a good revenue day but don't check on the the staff after we've done mental gymnastics working many many different brands at once and expect us to do it again the next day. The customers you text are not the nicest too. All you do is text about discounts all day and they'll buy Chick Fil A and donut holes as a thank u. Show up and go home. Your coworkers are great but with the lunch schedule, be aware you may find yourself going up and down the office building to find a private place to eat alone - only 4 people or so are released to go to lunch every 30 minutes or so. You get (2) 15 minute breaks in a 10 hour day. I hope you don't mind music playing on a speakers while you work. People vape and spit nicotine pouches and watch Netflix at their desk you can tell that people are over it and are ready to jump ship as the rest of the company hires externally instead of prioritizing their own staff's growth. They're going to say "we're building the plane as we fly it" and that always made me feel nervous. Big regret.

Pros

I have been at several high growth companies and can say without a doubt that this is the most inclusive and employee focused organization I have worked for. Everyone, from the founders to individual contributors is humble and very hard working. Managers make space for employees to pursue their own career growth and everyone is open to giving and taking feedback and helping the team and company grow. Sounds like lip service as these are all obvious things, but it is HARD to create a culture that is inclusive, nurturing and also high performing. Not to mention that Postscript has always been remote-first. The team is dedicated to creating a stellar remote culture and has been focused on that from the beginning. That makes a huge difference -- it's not a company that switched during the pandemic, remote is in our DNA. In addition to culture, the product and customers are fantastic. E-commerce continues to grow very fast, and we are in the process of building an entirely new category with SMS and Conversational Commerce.

Cons

This isn't a con as much as something to be aware of. With any new category, there is a lot of competition. In order to win, you need to be able to execute well and stay focused. Be prepared to give feedback and help improve others and yourself.

Wow - thank you for sharing such a thoughtful and detailed review! Postscript truly has the advantage of having the absolute best people out there - including leadership. The amount of trust and respect given to every employee, regardless of task or position, is humbling and fosters an environment that our people can thrive in. Thriving employees and amazing, happy customers go hand-in-hand. We have some of the coolest customers out there because we have the coolest team members out there, including you! Cheers to bringing a competitive spirit to the table and being ready to build and grow individually and as a team. We are going to do big things together. -Cailee
