Pros

The culture and in person work environment was wonderful. Some complained about the little things but overall the people and environment was fantastic.

Cons

The higher ups and other branches of the company are greed focused and human last. If you were not part of the engineer team or a higher position, no one gave you the time of day. The most appalling part of the company is their AI mission. AI development is crucial right now in our world but should be developed as a tool. They are one of the first companies to openly fire dozens of people and explain the reason is AI. Their AI tools are garbage and low quality. Even if the AI improves, their customers and brands have expressed their value in human first communication and the human touch, but higher ups have completely ignored that for what they think will make them more money. The company is growing and is leaving the start up phase, though they seem to be transitioning from quality to quantity. I want to make this clear, I was not let go. I left for other reasons and came to find out what they did to my co-workers after I left. Everyone in that company can be let go at anytime and the phrase it's not personal, it's business does not apply because the business practices do not make sense. Instead of building life-long careers and life-long relationships, they cycle through people constantly and overshadowing a happy company culture is the feeling that anyone can lose their job at any moment. The company had a real future and it was exciting to be a part of it, now it is sad to see the direction it is going in. It is laughable and cliche the decisions made.

Pros

- A remote culture that does a good job at staying connected. - Lots of really excellent humans here. Humble, creative, and down to earth.

Cons

- Top leadership pays lip service to things like culture, but has no interest in prioritizing them. It's an extremely 'what have you done for me lately' type of work environment. - Senior leadership is INCREDIBLY separated from the rest of the company. Lot's of off-sites, closed-door strategy sessions, and come-down-from-the-mountain speeches. On a team of about 14 people, in 2.5 years, I had exactly one 1:1 talk with the exec above me, and it was because he needed a last-minute favor. He was EXTREMELY unavailable and detached from my work. - Postscript, like most SaaS shops right now, is so wrapped up in its own AI storyline that no one seems to notice the only real applause is coming from senior leadership. They rolled out a shiny new AI initiative, used it as air cover to wipe out an entire arm of the company, shrugged it off, and then turned around to ask everyone left to get excited about automating as much of their own jobs as possible.

Pros

- Great perks, PTO, benefits, stipends - Young feel to the company - All the software that you need

Cons

- Continued to hire people after they said layoffs were not off the table - Look over your shoulder for a replacement that your are outperforming - Funding and actual product success is misleading - Flaunt DEI but there is few minority leaders - Management super robotic during layoffs - Most people do not stay until promotion
