At no point did we expect you to work during a family medical crisis. In fact, we encouraged you to take the necessary leave to focus on your wife’s well-being. We respected your decision to continue working and appreciated the effort you made under difficult circumstances. To further support you, we extended your medical insurance coverage and maintained regular check-ins—not just as colleagues, but as people who genuinely cared. While we empathized deeply, we also had to uphold responsibilities in a time-sensitive function like Talent Acquisition. This could be the reason you requested us to rehire you few months ago (Nov, 2024) which we could not do due to non-availability of open position.
