Just keeps getting worse

Pros

Working with the most resilient people.

Cons

Engagement surveys should speak volumes but there is no accountability coming from the top. To be frank, the COO has destroyed every department, created mass chaos, demonstrated poor decision making and rather than addressing the problem at hand the company watches their top talent find positions that will actually value their input and worth. There is a ton of gaslighting and manipulation going on from leadership. I question everyday why I’m staying and am just waiting for the right opportunity to come along to get out.

In doing so, we must be agile and comfortable with change. Our COO is one of 250+ corporate employees and 2,000+ providers working to provide solutions to empower all who serve children with diverse needs. Additionally, our recent engagement survey showed that some of our Operations teams are our most engaged employee populations. We know our peeps value transparency, and in an effort to maintain an inclusive and supportive culture, we must lead by example. They don't pay indirect time

Work from home opportunity which is harder to come by

Cons

They con you into 2 options for pay, either get paid a "higher" rate for a virtual position for direct hours only (basically amounts to 1/2 of what you should get paid when you account for self employment taxes and the time you are eating up not getting paid for all the indirect work ie. planning, documenting, doing IEP paperwork, progress reports) or you can take a lower pay rate for guaranteed hours where you are not paid if you work above those hours to complete any indirect work as above. The district I was at gave me a caseload that was unmanageable and I worked hours over what was "guaranteed" but wasn't paid for it. They don't have your best interest in mind in either scenario, it's about getting you to work for free.

Lack of Care for Staff

Unlimited PTO at the time.

Cons

Sent out a companywide survey as they do annually and one week later, they let go of 40+ people, only to turn around and hire 25 at a much lower salary. Not sure they know how to balance a checkbook. Management doesn't really seem to have any idea what those beneath them truly do.

We value employee feedback. Our bi-annual company engagement survey is one of the ongoing ways we are able to capture feedback and evaluate our culture and employee sentiment year over year. No internal meeting days, employee wellness days, 401k match and expanded leave policies are just a few examples of change driven as a result of feedback received. Our recent restructure is enabling us to recenter our business around our clinical standards and invest where we need to in order to better serve our customers and providers.
