Press Ganey lived up to it's market reputation!

Pros

I honestly cannot point to one favorable experience working at Press Ganey. Absolutely the worst healthcare organization in the market today.

Cons

Where to start? Too much to detail here but one should expect a unbelievable disorganized mess from a operations and technology perspective and frankly so far from their competition in this space that one has to wonder if they will hold any relevancy in the future. Incompetent, childish, petty, and curiously uneducated healthcare leadership team with zero vision for how to compete in the rapidly transformative healthcare markets. For evidence, review their market narrative. Marketing, sales approach, thought leadership, brand and client engagement strategies all appear to be a obvious but pale copy of the more exciting technology firms in this space. It is seemingly impossible to understand how any clients contracted with this firm are not worse off for doing business with Press Ganey. A obvious early signal of a burning technology platform is when top performers head for the exit before the brand destroys their own personal reputation. Run don't walk from this company.

Losing Great Talent Due To Mismanaged Reorg

Pros

Unlimited PTO / Flex time Work from home Can work from the office if you want

Cons

I have been at Press Ganey for many years and expected to stay at the company for many more. I loved my job pre-reorg but they are moving everyone to work out of a queue of tasks submitted by clients through an online form instead of having dedicated clients. By being moved to a queue, I would not have that same experience with client improvement and would feel like a cog in the machine. The change management on the reorganization has been incredibly frustrating and causing a lot of anxiety. Anyone that has taken a change management course would see that the process being used does not fit within any proven model. The constant changes, lack of employee involvement, refusal to address employee morale (outside of telling us to reach out with questions), constant flow of rumors from other departments, and lack of accurate job descriptions and training for new positions is causing massive anxiety among the departments. We have had many calls about the change but the information shared is not solidified or helpful. There are dozens of questions that are asked that are never answered or answered in a vague way to not stir the pot. As other employees leave the company, we have been getting bombarded with their clients and do not have enough time to give each of them the attention they need. Unfortunately, the department is decreasing in man-power daily so there is no one else who has the bandwidth to take them. We are working well over 40 hours a week regularly but since we are salary we do not get overtime pay. The queue system doesn't work to spread work across the department when there aren't enough employees to begin with. As I have looked elsewhere, similar jobs start with a base pay of $70,000 to $90,000 across the US. All of them having the unlimited PTO that Press Ganey added just this year.

We are excited about the new Application Specialist position and the opportunity for Application Specialists to work with and support our clients in a new, innovative way. Job descriptions for all client-facing team roles are available on MyPG for associates to review. While training plans are under way, we encourage you to reach out directly to your manager to join in with your peers on building out what this looks like. Additionally, you can reach out to Jodie Cunningham, our SVP of Patient Experience Solutions, to schedule a 1:1 and answer any questions you have.
