Pros

Colleagues in my business unit are great

Cons

Each week here brings another opportunity for our senior leadership to make terrible decisions. Recently 3 managers were laid off totaling more than 35 years experience. Oddly enough, we were told that we will be hiring for 2 of those positions. Our company shows no loyalty to the experience and knowledge these managers possessed. This has been the theme for the last 5 years. Senior leadership pushing out experience and proven success for inept decision makers. Surveys for our company engagement are handed out frequently with promises of change and “your voice/opinions matter” but this is a joke. No changes are ever made or even addressed even days after the results of the survey are released and our leadership seems too cowardly to address the issues the teams have. Our department has long been a dumping ground for projects, items, issues, changes and we have taken it on diligently and proved our worth, but we are still treated as a group of custodians that will just clean up trash. Pay has continued to be stagnant. Press Ganey can’t afford to give us increases, but our business is doing great? It’s almost insulting to hear our senior leadership talk about this with shrugs smiles on their face like they don’t know how to fix this issue. Having been here for 10+ years I have seen the decay of a truly great company and it gets worse by the year. I realize filling this out won’t change anything our senior leadership does similar to filling out our internal engagement surveys. Oh, but congratulations on the Forsta acquisition. How is that going?

Pros

- Flexible time off, which by the way just saves them on payouts when people leave.

Cons

Forsta was in the process of improving their benefits packages, yet immediately after being acquired by this company they: - Paused 401k contributions indefinitely. - For 2023 added a spousal surcharge of ~$2000 per year so my wife can have the same health insurance. And required me to submit our marriage certificate _and_ copy of last years taxes to prove we are married. - For 2024 is completely *removing* the ability for my wife to keep her insurance, just because her company offers a terrible option. - Have made townhalls completely useless for employees, they are just sales pitches for execs now. - Stopped the push for getting employees to competitive salaries. - Halted hiring for crucial positions we need filled.

Pros

-Health insurance plans are reasonably priced. -The company was founded on a patient-centric mission, which remains commendable. -The workforce, especially in the South Bend office, is largely composed of excellent individuals. -Work-life balance can be favorable, though this varies based on your manager.

Cons

-Significant job cuts in 2022 resulted in considerable loss of talent, leading to heightened workloads for remaining staff. -Favoritism is apparent; for instance, the CEO’s daughter holds a high-paying yet low-responsibility role. -The company offers "unlimited" PTO, which is quite restricted in reality, primarily to avoid payouts upon layoffs or teminations. -The company paused its 401k match for the entirety of 2023. When the match was resumed, it was overly celebrated by the executives. -Payouts of bonuses were significantly lower than the promised amounts. -The executive team has repeatedly made questionable acquisitions, and faced no consequences.
