Pros

The office manager is a great guy, as is the CEO and founder. Great people, and the environment is nice and fun overall. A little too fun and nice, almost as if they're hiding something,

Cons

The whole place is a con. Unless you're Jewish, you really need not apply to this company on the technical side, because you won't fit in and that feeling is palpable. And, the tech is behind other places. A lot of technical debt without suficient documentation. Not a lot of new/popular frameworks or tools being used at all. If you like working with vanilla code and older commonplace practices, this is your place. Otherwise, save yourself the time.

It is definitely not the intent of anyone in the company to have any employee feel like they don’t fit in and we pride ourselves on being inclusive of people from all walks of life. Please know that we are taking this feedback to heart and will strive to ensure that no one else feels this way. With regard to your specific feedback on our code and tools used; we do use tried and true technologies that we know can scale to support a growing business. We use Java, MySQL, as well as many of the latest AWS services; which are all industry standard tools that we believe suit our business and will allow us to continue on our growth trajectory. Prodege is an amazing place to work! Senior Management is nice mix of the original founding team & a veteran team who have successfully grown multiple companies. The Prodege business model is a true win-win-win so they will be in business well into the future. The company is very forward thinking and focuses on employees feeling comfortable and advancing their skills. Lunch is provided 3x weekly, and a full kitchen is stocked 24/7. I was fortunate to work on the technology team for 5+ years. The team is filled with smart & talented people, with a healthy blend of sharpshooters & out-of-the-box thinking. The collective knowledge both in depth and breadth is unmatched. Mendy (VP of Technology) is brilliant, experienced and has an amazing eye for building stable & efficient solutions to any product that needs to be developed. I was one of many who Mendy has personally spent hundreds if not thousands of hours teaching, and my programming skills have grown exponentially as a direct result. As the tech team has grown, there are many more stars who've I been able to learn from, including those working remotely. Shane is perfect for the CTO role. His calmness-under-pressure and result-driven attitude is something *everyone* can learn from, and he is the just the nicest person you will ever meet. His knowledge and experience exceed tech/management and I have learned from him many things including what it takes to run such a large team, how to coordinate business with tech, but most importantly how to be a better person. Ops, QA, Product, Sales, HR & the other departments are all run by proficient individuals, who hire, mentor and are invested in lifting their employees (including employees on other teams). It has been a pleasure to work at Prodege, and I am forever grateful for the experience. I highly recommend Prodege to anyone looking to grow their skills.

Cons

No one is perfect, but I don't see a reason to list imperfections here just to fill in a box. If you are a driven - Prodege is a great place to excel. If you'd rather get paid to twiddle your thumbs, better go work elsewhere.
