Pros

Good Salary but you will see why it doesn’t matter.

Cons

I worked here for about 4 months and not having been there for a little while it helped me realize how this was easily the most toxic work environment that has been produced. They use outdated sales tactics built off of intimidating clients to buy college sports ads that were basically a scam. You were constantly told to lie to the customers and stretch the truth in order to hide details about what these people are actually buying. The company gives you 3 and a half to four months to get over 10k in sales and then if you don’t they give you a week to make it up with an outrageous goal of $3000 in one week and if you don’t get it they fire you. They do this so that they don’t have to pay any money in unemployment because it takes 20 weeks for it to kick in if you are fired. This company is the worst and really needs to reevaluate its business plan. They lure college graduates looking for experience yet offer no options for career furtherment and barely help you do the job itself. I have no problem with making 200 calls a day and trying to get out 20 pitches but they expect that as the minimum and want even more out of their employees right away. They also pay a 65k salary because they plan on firing most of the people they hire in 3-4 months, they fired over 100 people in my time there so don’t think the high salary is something that is a major bonus. There honestly is too much to be able to write down in one passage but please know this is a horrible place to work and the upper management is terrible.

Pros

Good base pay out of college. A lot of employees around the same age. If you have a sales personality and are ready to grind you’ll do well. People and other reviews will say it’s a scam but they are legit.

Cons

Very unorganized. And very old school. Arnt allowed to use the internet and are calling massive company’s asking who the president is and if you can speak to them. There are tons of sales tools that can get you direct lines and names of the people you have to talk to but they don’t let you use them. You will get yelled at if you have your cellphone out. You are expected to come in earlier and stay late but don’t get paid for that time. You don’t get commission untill the end of the year and even then they don’t give you your full commission they give you a percentage of what you earned based on how hard you worked that year. The only way to move up in the company is if the sales manager gets fired or quits.

Pros

Get perks but only if management likes you, being a great sales rep doesn’t mean you always get to enjoy the perks

Cons

Extremely competitive between reps and the managers who sell so there is no help given when asked. When you are asked for help and give it, it’s taken for granted and they ask someone else just to undermine you. Not a healthy work environment. They say it’s 8-5 but coming in early and staying late is encouraged but you aren’t rewarded like promised. Only if you make sales, making calls doesn’t do anything for them. They allow reps to work for them who tell secretaries and the decision makers to “suck their d****” and they let them go on the company trips and get sales packages so it’s overlooked. It’s a messed job with a messed up company. No mobility in career either. You’re stuck at one position for the whole time and the only thing that can grow is the commission and that is heavily taxed.

We're sorry that you haven't had a good experience. However, we think it is important to make clear how everything works. " Perks" like sales trips, monthly incentives, sale contests are all great ways for reps to make extra money, go on a great trip at no cost...but they only go to sales reps who have made the requisite sales. It has nothing to do with the way the company or management feels about you. It's simply whether or not one makes enough sales to qualify based on objective sales information - the amount of sales made. In addition, we maintain a professional working environment. No one is allowed to curse or say vulgar things - that is completely out of bounds - and if management is aware, corrective action will be taken. Our sales training is second to none and that training continues throughout a sales rep's tenure. We are trying to make every sales rep successful but, as we say during our interview process, this job isn't for everyone. If you really are a current employee as you claim, we would encourage you to have a conversation with management and let's see how we can help you become more successful at making sales so that you can take part in the things you claim to be missing and improve your compensation.
