Pros

Let me first start off by saying that i am a current employee of PSP for over 7 months now and after carefully reading some of the negative comments...Ive come to the conclusion that most if not all of these people had no work ethic, were lazy, lacked an incentive to make money, or just flat out werent prepared for what the job demands. Whats the one thing that attracts someone to a job right off the bat? ...MONEY. Not only does PSP offer a rich entry level sales salary but on top of that, they have monthly contests including trip incentives and salary bonuses if you hit an attainable number. This job is for people who are eager to make money with the potential to make a lot of it. Other positives besides the money are the work hours. The typical work day starts at 8 and ends at 5. Of course working late/coming in early only increases your opportunity to make sales. Also they provide you with all of your leads which is not the same for other companies. You will be on the phone trying to get business owners/decision makers of small/large companies doing work with colleges and universities across the country, to take out an ad in the school's sports programs/yearbooks (typically football & basketball). Furthermore the work environment/culture is great. Everyone is friendly and outgoing, yet at the same time competitive and range from straight out of college to mid 30's. The office is located 5 minutes from penn station which is very convenient for any Long Island/NJ commuters. If management sees that you are working hard are trying to go above and beyond they will offer you tickets to a concert or sporting event at Madison Square Garden every once in a while. Also work attire is business casual. The job also offers an opportunity to gain valuable sales experience; teaching you to think quickly on your feet and not take no for answer. Despite only being at USP for 6 months, the qualities i have gained and enhanced since being here i will have for the rest of my working days. There is a direct relationship between how confident you sound on the phone to the amount of sales you make. Furthermore, an open door policy with management allows you to always come to them with any questions or concerns you may have. Just always be honest and they will help you in any way they can.

Cons

The following arent necessarily cons of the job but more facts that some people are not cut out for: Like every job, you need to work hard to play hard. IF YOU DO NOT FEEL LIKE MAKING 250-300 PHONE CALLS EVERYDAY THAN THIS JOB IS NOT FOR YOU. If you arent ready to be on the phone for the entire day this job is not for you. If you cannot stand hearing "no" or being hung up on multiple times a day, this job is not for you. Just because you love sports and are a huge sports fan doesn't make you good at this job. If you cannot work in a competitive atmosphere this job is not for you.

Pros

You have the opportunity to make a lot of money, more than at any other job. You will learn how to sell better than anywhere else. In addition to the high salary & commission - incentive trips, monthly financial incentives, tickets to great concerts & sporting events, happy hours...Great place to work. The company has partnerships with pro sports teams & athletic departments all over the country, so great inventory. As a happy employee who wants my company to continue to hire quality people, it's upsetting to read the lies put up by disgruntled employees, who were clearly not interested in sales. The company is legit. The job is a great opportunity.

Cons

It's only for a hard working, financially motivated candidates. If that doesn't describe you - this job is not for you.

Pros

The pay is pretty solid, and you work from 8:00-5:00. No weekends, no after hours or anything like that.

Cons

Most of the product you sell is a scam and you have to be able to deal with that.
