Pros

Propeller provides a fantastic work-life balance, benefits package, and supports continuing education through various methods of training. I've never worked for a company that genuinely cares about their employees more than Propeller.

Cons

The fast growth and expansion of hiring more employees will likely result in losing the small company, family feel.

Pros

My colleagues respect me and challenge me to do more than I ever thought I could do. We're all competitive, but not against each other; we want to celebrate our wins together! We're a cohesive group of intelligent, driven unicorns (yes, that's what we like to consider ourselves!) who support one another professionally and personally. I feel honored to work with such a great group of people who are continually looking for ways to separate ourselves as consultants who do more than just talk the talk and actually walk the walk. You can contribute to the growth of the firm through a variety of internal initiatives and you don't feel obligated to participate because your input actually is encouraged and appreciated. If you see room for improvement or growth opportunities, be prepared to have a creative solution---and that's a good thing! You may see the problem, but you're also part of the solution and you'll have team members who will work with you. Our clients are local and though we're looking to expand to other cities, it's not mandatory for all consultants to travel. Work-life balance is AMAZING. You're not pressured to work ridiculous hours and have opportunities to take time off for yourself. Leadership trusts you to manage the client work as you see fit, which is so rewarding knowing that you're respected as a mature, responsible adult who doesn't need to be micro-managed. On another note about leadership, the principles simply rock. They broke away from the status quo to build a firm on their own terms and to find other consultants believed in their values and ethics. We now have three directors (only one when I started last year), and if I had any say in their promotions, I would have wholeheartedly voted yes for all three capable, competent, and charming individuals. Even after almost a year at the firm, it's still a beautiful romance and I can see the honeymoon lasting for a long, long time. I still can't believe how fortunate I am to work at Propeller and to work with such an incredibly talented group.

Cons

I only wish I could see my colleagues more often! We have monthly staff meetings and social events, it's just that we're all out at different client sites and I don't get to interact with them as much as I'd like.
