Pros

The non-management people are wonderful to work with. The architect is one of the best I've worked with (even if he's generally ignored). The company outings are generally fun, but for a medical company not as accessible for everyone as I would like to see.

Cons

Management doesn't understand the technical issues the application has, as it is currently built on very outdated technology. They hire experts, then choose to not listen to their expertise. They set deadlines not on work to be accomplished, instead on when they magically want things done. Management talks down to employees, especially employees of certain genders. The pay is far under industry standards in the area.

Pros

Flexible schedule (depending on department), casual environment, important industry -- if you want to make a difference in the behavioral health world, working with the clients is very rewarding.

Cons

For a software company, it's ridiculous how unorganized and underdeveloped the app services department is. Management is a road block in getting projects out. Salary requirements hold them back from getting experienced personnel to assist. Work environment can feel like a fraternity house rather than a place of business. Most employees stay for a year or two, then move on.

Pros

Company culture has been great. Great people, work-life balance and easy to move around in positions.

Cons

Just like ANY other company, little growing pains. The effects felt depend on what department you fall under. It is not company wide.
