Pros

If you are part of the SLS program you would love the diversity.

Cons

- Cheap company, always looks for ways to cut costs. - They want you to work overtime but wont pay for it. - They have Fortune 500 clients but treat their employees like robotic labours with min wage. - If they give raise it is usually (2-7%) sometimes just 50$ a month increments. They prmoted me (Gave 3 interviews) to Team Lead role. No formal offer letter was presented after 3 weeks of verbal agreement. I already started working as TL (double the responsibility and work but no fair pay) and I quit after facing mental harassment.

Pros

I worked for QT as a Google contractor for over two years. The team they put together was really great. Since the team was all about internationalization, the team was incredibly diverse and interesting. Working at Google was the reason anyone took the job to begin with, it came with a lot of benefits, a cool culture, and a lot of freedom and autonomy.

Cons

Unfortunately for Qualitest, most of the perks of the job were Google perks, not Qualitest ones. The pay is insultingly bad, raises are almost non-existent, and no matter how hard you work, you won't get recognition for it (except for a $100-$200 gift card one time, which is a joke). I worked extremely hard the first year, but once I realized it was futile, kept up appearances and nothing changed. What a waste of my own talents. Upper management are a married couple who frankly have no grasp of how to run a project. They are extremely disconnected from the reality we lived every day. They didn't even seem to know what we were doing within Google, they only cared about the dollar signs they saw coming their way. Typical corporate BS'ers with no regard for employees. The project itself was cool, but you will be shut down if you try to build things for the team's benefit and try to make your job more than the snorefest it is. If you are a Software Engineer, stay far away, because you won't learn any useful skills and it will make finding a job after QT much harder. To make matters worse, they ended the project by moving it to Portugal, Mexico, and Texas. At least they had the decency to give us a 6 month heads up, and promised that those who wanted a job elsewhere within QT could do so. I can count on one hand how many people kept a job within the company. A blatant lie.

Pros

Qualitest is a language specialist vendor for Google, thus SLS guys are placed at the Google office, which comes with cool perks and provides good workplace environment. Unfortunately none of this is thanks to the Qualitest and sadly is the ONLY positive aspect of being an SLS.

Cons

This could be a long one, but basically it’s the most greedy and dishonest company I’ve ever dealt with. After leaving the company I’ve kept in touch with some former colleagues and frankly I can’t name one who would be enthusiastic about working for them. While the job is easy, it does require significant effort and provides great benefit to Google, but none of this is compensated adequately. There is no growth opportunity whatsoever and career advancement could be achieved only through office politics.
