      Poor Management - Quanta Wireless

      Great place to get a start in the industry, they give green hands a chance to start, they provided cell phones and lap tops

      Cons

      Poor management, poor pay, not for anyone with any experience, stay in hotels for 8 weeks with 3 days off to go home and the 3 days do not include your travel days. you must use your own vehicle and the company doesnt pay for the first or last 20 miles of each day, and only pay 32c per mile when the going rate is 56c per. they schedule the installation and integration work at multiple sites that are 150 miles apart each day instead of covering one area, then moving to the next.

      Pros

      Quanta has the spirit of a small company since Corporate IT only support the corporate office, provides the network infrastructure, and email. Quanta is a federation of construction companies that have their own IT departments that support their accounting and technical applications. The infrastructure is current Microsoft, Cisco, and VMWare.

      Cons

      The company as a whole has a tendency to fire rather than manage it's people. They talk a lot about team and family, but they fire the children that don't "fit," and are always looking for the dream player.
