      Worst in class engineering

      Pros

      The scientific community is exceptional. I love working with them and learning from them. Work life balance and flexibility is the best I’ve experienced in industry.

      Cons

      Engineering processes and rigor is missing, and the leadership team has been very slow to develop. The biggest issue is that those in leadership lack the proper industry experience to be effective. This wouldn’t necessarily be a problem if they would listen to those on their team that DO have the right experience. They have not demonstrated their ability to listen and take action. I really feel for the junior engineers that don’t know any better and as a result, aren’t being set up for success in the most crucial part of their career.

      Pros

      There are some decent work/life balance flexibility. Life is great if you're a physicist. Lots of opportunity there.

      Cons

      Outside of the physicists, and their management structure, the rest of the place is kind of a nightmare. IT isn't even worth applying to. And if you're an engineer or tech, you get treated as a second class citizen. Management tends to have zero accountability and pass everything downhill, and even if you have a crazy list of accomplishments, you'll never get recognized for it. They're SUPER shady about how they terminate people, and word is HR management is starting to try and rein in flexible work arrangements.
