Pros

RainFocus is an amazing company to work for because they value their employees and they understand that what you do before and after work (family/personal life) is important. When you're healthy in personal life, it creates a motivating and healthy work life as well that shows to our customers. They are also very transparent especially as they are growing which is great for us employees.

Cons

None that I can think of!

Pros

This company is very family oriented and has a great work/life balance. The company is full of not only top-notch employees who get their work done, but full of top-notch people. Nearly everyone in the company is approachable and easy to talk to. People know how to get their work done and have a good time while doing it, but not at the cost of productivity. If you need to work from home, they usually don't have a problem with it. Their compensation is pretty competitive with the rest of the market. They normally provide employees with higher-than-normal raises each year. The benefits are, as far as I've seen, unmatched in all of the state of Utah. They are just amazing, and cheap. Work rarely ever feels like work to me. The code that we write is normally different enough that it never gets boring, and is usually always captivating and interesting. If you enjoy programming, you will enjoy working with the hug, well-architected code base we have. The upper management is very business savvy and I feel like they are successful with their strategies. On the engineering side, the dev ops team is calculated, competent, and just plain good at what they do. And in this industry, you'll get to travel the whole world if you want to work on site at the events.

Cons

There are still some processes that are being refined since the company is only a few years old. We are understaffed for the demand we currently have, resulting in a higher-than-normal level of stress and workload. It's not bad enough to really be considered a con though. The people we have handle it and nail it.

Growing - and growing the right way

Pros

Biggest pro by far is the leadership team. They have a plan and they are sticking to it. Other leaders in past companies I've worked for would have signed every deal they could to the detriment of the product and service teams. The leaders of RainFocus have been patient, measured and practical - highly valued!

Cons

As with any company in this phase of development, the product functionality sometimes falls short of the vision. Reporting platform has been an issue. This is being actively addressed, but does cause stress on the company in the short term.
