Pros

Rainfocus has great employees to work with, the relationship between developers and qa has been some of the best I've seen

Cons

People have been hired on being told that we have "unlimited pto" which is a straight up lie. We have about 21 days. The employee handbook states that the amount of hours we have to work a week is 30, give or take, but if you work less than 40 you will get in trouble with management. There is a lot of focus on "culture" here, but the culture is to praise those people who work 12 hour days. No perks like free food, and the one good perk we had (ski passes) were taken away. Money does not feel like it's spent to help keep employees happy. I've personally dealt with a lot of passive aggressiveness from managers, I definitely do not feel that they have the interest of their employees at heart.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We encourage all of our team members to bring concerns like this to a manager asap. RainFocus prides itself on maintaining a high performance culture; it is one of our company values. We are proud of the PTO, flexibility, and work-life options that exist here. We place a high value on the trust we share through open dialogue across all teams. Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Poor Leadership, Poor Direction: Not a Good Place to Grow Your Career

Pros

I sat on a great team that had exceptional trust with each other. The client base is top tier. There are smart people if you look in the right places.

Cons

Leadership continually proved to be incompetent, unaware, and actively make decisions that went against employee feedback. Leaders say they're listening but their actions go against that. Promotions don't come as they're earned; you won't get promoted if you're less tenured than teammates, regardless of performance. Workload doesn't match up with compensation and team feedback; more work is added, pay increase is minuscule, and leadership expects employees to adapt without adding headcount (chances are you'll be drowning without care from leaders)

Not a great company

Pros

- Remote Work - Cool Events - Travel - Decent Pay... that's it

Cons

- No one knows what they are doing - EXTREMELY MESSY: Emails get sent back and forth and lots of work does not get done - Working with some of the PMs is a nightmare, they barely know anything going on. - Everyone (and yes, i mean EVERYONE) has that "mY pr0j3ct iS tHe m0sT iMp0rtaNt th!Ng rigHt n0w tH@n whaT y0u'R3 w0rKinG 0n" kind of attitude, its bad. - Everyone is out of the know about everything - If you did not go to BYU - you probably will not fit in, no culture at all. - Management is not good - No one around if you need any help - Communication does not exist at this company
