Pros

Some of your coworkers are genuinely incredible talented people

Cons

- Executive Leadership seems in denial of the fact that the company clearly lacks a coherent long term strategy for success instead pushing down issues or only offering half solutions - Operational issues compound and are ignored as the company jumps from initiative to initiative - Lack of follow-through from multiple departments and leadership - HR seems more interested in the appearance of process than true equity. - Executive leadership is routinely dismissive of employee concerns - Focus on firefighting and acts of heroism rather than process driven scalable change - Clear favoritism within the company - Leadership Directives are misaligned from front-line concerns and the reality of the day to day business - Lack of focus on customers and what employees need to be successful

Pros

Competitive Pay will get you intrigued, but I would think twice.

Cons

No 401k Not great benefits on top of no 401k Not good work/life balance Growing rapidly which leads to being very understaffed Permission to do much is controlled and given out by single individual and his individual decision

RapidScale was once a startup company that grew quickly, thanks to the hard-working colleagues that you most likely were. As of August 2018, RapidScale is owned by Cox Enterprises, a $20B family-owned company that has won numerous employee satisfaction awards, in addition to the “Best Work Environments” award RapidScale won in 2017. Since the acquisition, we’ve added numerous additional benefits for our employees that can only come with the size of a $20B company, including unrivaled healthcare coverage, 401k matching, unlimited PTO, and much more. In addition, our senior management team has grown and changed immensely since this feedback was provided, and we’ve added many seasoned C-level business leaders who today help run the business. We are still entrepreneurial, operating inside of the Cox ecosystem, but no longer function in that ever-changing startup mode that many thrive in, but that may not have been the right fit for you. Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns. We meet weekly to improve the culture here and are always looking to get better. Your feedback has been invaluable in making us a better company.

Nobody is listening

Pros

It used to be a dynamic, interesting place to work where we were able to help customers solve IT issues.

Cons

Frankly management is Orwellian. The constant repetition of lies and half truths, the pounding of the propaganda. Self styled "Leaders" who manage by dictate. They have tons of 'anonymous' surveys but we aren't stupid, everybody knows the surveys can be traced back, so the only results management gets are the results from people who wish to be promoted. Mostly Sales. This is a sales lead organization, and it doesn't matter if a solution is not technically feasible or if there is a better way, if sales says to do it we must.
