Pros

The people and the work keep it a low-stress environment. Good benefits and fun if you like to work with children. Very scripted making the job a little easier.

Cons

Low-pay- it truly is a living stipend if that. You have to make your hours and stretch them if you want to reach the hours you'll need for the education award. P.s. if you don't need to pay off loans or desire to advance your education in the near future, this job doesn't have much incentive beyond internal rewards.

Pros

I love working with the kids and interacting with tutors. A lot of the people I work with are very passionate about social justice, and Reading Partners is making a lot of changes to align with their commitment to DEI, which is pretty exciting.

Cons

The online platform makes it a bit challenging to get students to their sessions consistently, which is very frustrating. Our workloads vary greatly depending on the school we are placed in.
