Pros

a lot of hit the ground running type of experience

Cons

low pay as a staff member (If your org has an operating budget of over 20 MM, pay your staff a livable wage!) relies too much on Americorps for support because it's cheaper, and will string AC members along for years without hiring them on as staff morale is still low a year after massive layoffs, which were not handled well and resulted in many people quitting little training for supervisors on how to manage their teams severe lack of diversity
