Pros

Potential for great money but I believe that depends largely on the business you get assigned to. Co workers are a lot of fun and your team is like your family

Cons

This place is attrition city and for good reason. I have never worked at a place that saw their employees as disposable pieces of equipment like this place. I believe they see each and every employee as worth no more than a computer monitor or a printer. Easily replaceable and cheap. Sure they paint a beautiful picture when you're being recruited. They dazzle you with a beautiful campus, fancy restaurant, fitness center, and billiard tables. But seeing your human assets as more than revenue producing livestock requires more than a fancy campus. You are held accountable for each and every call that hits your headset. And I mean EVERY call. If you get an existing customer on the line who already has the service and they are calling only because they want to pay their bill... that counts AGAINST your conversion rate even though there was absolutely nothing you could sell that customer. Get too many of those in a shift and your ranking plummets. Question this and you're told by management "hey everyone gets the same calls". If you choose to work here go in realizing that you will either quit or be fired. This is NOT a career.

Pros

I really enjoyed working at RV. I worked with many great people, the earning potential was exciting and the work environment was enjoyable.

Cons

So much for job security. You could be tossed out like a rag at any given moment. Within 4 months of working there I became one of the top 5 sales agents on my team, however, I was let go due to a "compliance violation" and accused of not playing by the rules. The whole matter was blown way out of proportion. Even though I was quick to admit my mistake and offer to correct my actions, they offered no redemption. They never gave me a proper warning to correct my behavior prior to my termination and were quick to show me the back door. The whole process felt very inhumane and unprofessional. I even emailed the head of HR after the matter trying to defend my situation stating how unfair I believe I was treated but I never received a response.

Pros

You learn the sales process and how it works. They make it a point to coach you on how to present the information to make the sale and ways to overcome objections.

Cons

The base salary is low and the commission advertised on the job description doesn't reflect even what the best representative will make after deductions for not hitting goals in certain metrics. The salary is the best case scenario if the metrics were to you advantage. But the are things like existing customers that you can't get through credit that will affect your numbers. I felt that they talked about money to motivate you to work hard and would talk about all the money they had made or the best agents were making to keep you working. However, at the end of the day the commission checks didn't reflect what they said you would make.
