- Morale is extremely low - Company's runway is short - Commonly recognized toxic employee not being let go until it's too late - ironic that it's a HR software company - Too much politics in a few departments

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We value all of our employee’s feedback and view it as an opportunity to improve. We are committed to creating a supportive, transparent environment and have implemented weekly fireside chats/internal office hours with the CEO, as well as a monthly All Hands meeting. We also conduct quarterly check ins and frequent 1:1s where employees have consistent, thorough conversations with their managers where any areas of concerns can be addressed. We are confident in the future of our company. We’ve made important changes to adapt to the impact of COVID-19, and gained commitment from our investors to our business. There’s a lot to look forward to at Reflektive. We understand that times are challenging currently with COVID-19, and morale is a top focus of ours. We ran an employee sentiment survey to gather feedback on what we can do better given our new environment, and have made changes based on employee input. We will continue to monitor and ensure we are taking the right steps to keep our employees engaged during a difficult time in our world. Again, thank you for your thoughts and feedback. A great idea with port execution

Pros

Plain and simple, the people. Genuine, hardworking, and driven folks were employed here while I was. We bought into the mission of the company, and truly wanted to deliver a world-class experience to our customers. They paid well enough and had cross-departmental promotion options.

Cons

What started out as a tremendous idea of eliminating the performance review and leveraging continuous feedback quickly spiraled into lack of direction. There was never a complete vision of where we were going. In-fighting on roadmap, prioritizing large, disgruntled customers and deprioritizing the market inhibited our ability to stay ahead. Complacency led to lack of innovation and with that our place as the leader in the space. With these issues we could not get net new customers, nor renew customers, and went through three rounds of massive layoffs and complete C-Suite turnover. Market share has gone to Lattice and Workday. Major features are still in beta that were publicly announced 18 months ago. It’s a tough go.

As you can imagine, as a growing startup there are often changes that need to be made as the business grows and evolves. Here at Reflektive we are learning and evolving with the rapidly changing world of Human Resources. As start ups evolve over time, management teams also tend to evolve to meet the needs of a growing business. An exodus not seen since biblical times.

Pros

Most employees have been liberated, either via layoffs or better opportunities. This has made what was once a packed office, rather spacious with all the empty seats.

Cons

Either the product doesn’t work, or the company does not live it’s values. What’s more likely is that it’s a combination of both.

As a startup, it’s natural and inevitable to go through a variety of changes over the years, including the necessary pivots in strategy and leadership to meet customer needs. We have made important and big decisions recently to truly shift Performance Management to align with current day behavior.
