Pros

Pay was fair, Nice PCA allowance yearly, provide free CEU classes

Cons

Company only cares about productivity and documentation so they get paid, patient care isn't a priority. No holidays off. Health benefits aren't great. iPads are challenging to manage at times

Pros

The team I worked with was the best - I had a great experience with them. They have a point system that you can recognize each other for actions/helping one another/etc, and the points can earn rewards. Got my mom and Apple Watch for Christmas with the points.

Cons

Lack of care for employees who actually work. They did a round of layoffs and because our supervisor never actually wrote up anyone for complaints or unprofessional behavior - the last hired were let go. Favoritism is big and they push for productivity and are now forcing therapists to do group every single day - meaning they’re above the 95% productivity we were supposed to be at. Our supervisor was trying to be reasonable about a lot of things - but after the layoffs has really changed her tune and is unfair to patients and therapists. It’s really disappointing how corporate claims to be patient focused and turns around and forces therapy when it’s not appropriate. It’s some bizarre version of the “get all your minutes” of the last 12 years and PDPM of the last 4 months.

Pros

The staff of therapists that I worked with were the only highlight of working for RehabCare

Cons

-no support given -unreasonable, gave me a hard time when trying to use PTO that I have -forced me to use PTO when hours were low -when I tried to Express my concerns to management that got me no where. So when I reached out to corporate I got into trouble for "not going up the proper chain of command". But the company has an open door policy meaning I don't have to go to the chain of command. -i was unfairly targeted once I questioned the practices of the company. I let my regional boss know of things that were being done that were unethical and was met with hours being cut and the company bringing in other therapists from other building ad a way of punishing me for trying to do what right. -corporate pushes RUG levels. They do not take the therapist recommendation into account. Placed every patient at 90 and sometimes over 100 mins! I am sorry but 100+ mins of therapy for a 90+ year old with a broken hip is just mean and cruel. And when the therapist don't get those ridiculously high minutes on patients, managers go basically scare or berate the patient into doing the missing therapy minutes. It's sad that what Rehabcare cares about is the money not the patients. I brought up several unsafe conditions and nothing was done about it because it would have taken away profits from the company. -when an option came open for a management position, several people who already worked for the company applied and the person chosen has less than 1 year of experience as a therapist. This person was chosen over 3 other candidates all of whom had been therapists for 5+ years. The therapy team being lead by a new grad just out of school is ridiculous when other more experienced therapists demonstrated interest. -so much gossiping. A regional manager once sat with me and told me how she thought the current boss was sucking at her job and told me a bunch of this persons personal business. Totally unprofessional. -worked for the company for 3 years and never got a raise.
